My father had several hurtful names he called me that are best left forgotten and moldering in his grave. He was an abusive SOB. However, I cannot escape one that is meant to be endearing and still used by family members to this day. And no, I'm not going to share it. I know you'll just use it to annoy me.

With a name like Thor, I never had a nickname. My real name was odd enough. Strangely, now its a cool name to have.

Little sister couldn't say my name, so I was Si-si for a long time. Later Jo-jo. That one stuck, and even followed me to a couple different jobs. At my first Guard unit, I became "Barnyard." That nickname didn't survive my deployment for some reason, and nobody at my Air Guard unit knows about it I guess.

Yup, the one my Mom hung on me. Still gives me the shivers. Highest NSA clearance about 3 levels too low to have access to that one.

The guys that used to work for my father used to call me Scrawny Dawny. To this day if I go back home, I always seem to run into one of them and it's always yelled out so everyone can hear it.

My grandmother had one that I will not repeat, that I hated. She died at about the same time as my dog. I was more upset about the dog.

CPT Jack Durish "Teepee" was fine,but lost it's pizzazz after everyone began calling toilet paper "TP'. There have been a few other nicknames over the years."Cold" is probably the only one that ever bothered me.

If I did, I wouldn't share it hear because my fear would come true! :) And I did have a name I hated being called.
