Sure did but to my advantage I already had friends in the Army while I was in Highschool and I use to hang out at their barracks and go out to parties with them all the time. They told me all kinds of stories about Army life. Also, my father served 26 years and he gave me the low down too.

What is Permanent Party. Is that Army Speak for Lifer? If so, No, I could never have imagined my Adventures after 21 years.

Which time? My initial was an overseas trip to Camp Zama Japan, and about all I can say is WOW! Honduras brought me into the same frame of mind, as did Panama and a few others. Heck Fort Campbell in 1994/5 was a shocker as the whole road was tore up outside and it was the deadliest stretch of road in America back then.
