It hurts the creditability of the city of SF, the Dems and Obama by remaining silent on the issue. <br />Advocating for illegal aliens is what we expect from parties, but breaking the law through ignoring or omission of action is step too far. Once they allow the condition, an argument can be made they are responsible for the foreseeable consequences of their actions. Response by LTC John Shaw made Jul 13 at 2015 8:04 AM 2015-07-13T08:04:10-04:00 2015-07-13T08:04:10-04:00 COL Ted Mc 811106 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div><a class="dark-link bold-link" role="profile-hover" data-qtip-container="body" data-id="702134" data-source-page-controller="question_response_contents" href="/profiles/702134-pv2-robert-gresham">PVT Robert Gresham</a> - Sergeant; There were no "political implications" for "the White House".<br /><br />The death of this young woman will not affect President Obama's chances of re-election one little bit.<br /><br />On the other hand, I suppose that it would be possible to deputize the entire US Army as Federal Marshals and send them all in to San Francisco to arrest any illegal aliens they find, and anyone found to be assisting an illegal alien (say by employing them) or harbouring them (like, for instance, any relative or friend whom they are living with), and anyone conspiring to aid and abet the commission of a crime (like "entering the United States of America without a permit), and anyone concealing the existence of a crime (such as by not reporting that someone is an "illegal alien" to the appropriate authorities) and send them all to jail (with deportation to follow for anyone who cannot prove that they are a "natural born American"). [That should take care of most of the population of San Francisco (and would provide a solution to the "homeless veterans" problem by instantly freeing up hundreds of thousands of residential spaces for occupation.)<br /><br />But, other than doing that, how do you propose to force the local police forces to enforce a federal law that their employers say that they don't agree with.
