Writing in the Washington Post in August of 2016, Charles Krauthammer pretty much summed up the whole tawdry tale: "The foundation is a massive family enterprise disguised as a charity, an opaque and elaborate mechanism for sucking money from the rich and the tyrannous to be channeled to Clinton Inc.," he wrote. "Its purpose is to maintain the Clintons' lifestyle (offices, travel accommodations, etc.), secure profitable connections, produce favorable publicity and reliably employ a vast entourage of retainers, ready to serve today and at the coming Clinton Restoration."

LTC Private RallyPoint Member I suspect they ran out of access to peddle back on the first Tuesday of November, and there won't likely be any more $250K speeches at those evil Wall Street banks. Hopefully, some of the advertised humanitarian efforts were real and effective. Good question.

Interesting article. 2 points I'd guess on.
1. Humanitarian missions never end. There is always somewhere/someplace or someone needs help.
2. HRC White House run fell short. Soooo let's assume that since she isn't in the "chair" so to speak to peddle influence for said "donations" what can be done? Shut the doors and pocket the money? Kind of a slippery slope IMO.

But then again I may be way off and points 1 and 2 are moot.

I believe it was their Global Initiative and not the Foundation that is being downsized. It's funny I'm retired and live in New York State and or Sate Attorney General (Democrat) is investigating the Trump Foundation which I'm not saying he should not be, however there is no talk about our former Senator Hillary's Clinton Foundation and all the potential abuses that have been reported! Guess it matters what Party you are in!!

Maybe a bit of both. Maybe this is a case of functional corruption for most of the money actually went to it was supposed to but it was a pay-to-play or a Paola like situation that was probably exposed by the Wikileaks and with the the server breach from Hillary Clinton. Org. The Clinton Foundation did help many people with AIDS medicines and I'm sure many people benefited from it but it was the way the money was gathered or if you gave the million dollars or some large some and you got to see Hillary Clinton that is called payola similar to DJ's getting paid lots of money to play specific top 10 songs by the record producers

Since they did almost zero charity work, it pretty much has to be that their criminal activity to actively sell influence to people with money has ended because HRC lost the election.
