Been and EOA before and this is not the norm, just like the push to remove in GOD we trust from our money, all have happened since January 21, 2009.

Let me guess, the word Christmas, incites hate, racism, bigotry, discrimination, extremism so there for it must be singled out in order to avoid offending others who do not observe a pagan based event. Soldiers should be barred from taking part in the most common acts of expression of speech that they have given and risked their lives so others can.

I read that article a few days ago from a different media outlet.  The short answer is this:  No, the Army did not ban the word "Christmas."  The other answer is that, in my opinion, that EOR made a statement to the Command stating that if you are going to have an event during the holiday season, it would be wise to call it a holiday event vice a Christmas event (or words to that effect).  By doing this, you "include" all persons and you do not inadvertently "exclude" persons who do not celebrate Christmas.  I have been in the Army a long time and I have seen instances like this during each and every holiday season.  I believe that this was something that was blown out of proportion and made the news wire to serve an agenda.

I heard the reason so many flag officers are being relieved is that they refuse to submit an OPLAN for the War on Christmas.

Ridiculous, people need to quit crying over pointless words and titles and work on themselves. If they need someone to change to make themselves feel better they need to just leave the country.

As an EO rep, I think we were fine with anything that was not intentionally disrespectful, overly insensitive, or ignorant of others' culture/beliefs. That, I believe is the "commander's intent", so to speak, and most people recognize this issue as such. We shouldn't loose our minds too much over this, IMHO.
