"Speaking at the G20 meeting in Antalya, Turkey, President Obama got very blunt and to the point with his Republican and conservative critics who continue to insist he isn’t doing enough to fight ISIS terrorists, especially in the wake of the Friday the 13th attack on Paris.

Conservative critics have complained that Obama hasn’t put boots on the ground against ISIS or that he’s used the wrong words to address terrorism. They have also whined that more American blood and treasure needs to be expended to combat the ISIS threat. So Obama let them have it.

And maybe part of the reason is because every few months I go to Walter Reed.

And I see a 25-year-old kid who’s paralyzed or has lost his limbs and some of those are people I’ve ordered into battle. And so I can’t afford to play some of the political games that others may."

I mean seriously. Aren't Lindsey Graham and others STILL suggesting that we interject 100,000 or whatever guys into a situation that will do no good and get many many of them killed?

General Dunford testified before Congress the other day that the proper strategy is in place.

It amazes me that so many on RP blast the president for his actions against ISIS. They seem to want a mini-OIF - to plunge back into Iraq/Syria for more disaster.

"Nuke'em 'til they glow! Shoot'em in the dark!"

President Obama deserves a tremendous amount of credit for resisting those pressures. And I can't imagine why anyone in the Military who can fog a mirror would think otherwise.

Unless you love losing friends on operations that never should have happened.

Clearly, he doesn't do anything to look tough, or become tough for that matter. His primary attack on ISIS has been to go to France and talk about the weather.

Every time Obama does something that makes himself look worse than he already does... he blames someone else for it. That's his defacto mode of operation. Takes credit for others' success and finds a scapegoat to take the blame for all his foibles. He leads from behind. I will be elated to see him gone from office, the sooner the better.

Truth be told, (p)Resident Obama committed fraud to obtain his office and then followed up with a number of actions that fit the definition of treason. It would be altogether fitting to not let him finish his second term.

America's biggest problem in gov't is lack of accountability. Despite all the major league scandals and crimes committed by this Administration, name someone who has been held accountable for their screwups -- besides all the generals Obama has fired. Can you name anyone in the Obama Administration that has seen justice for their incompetent actions? AG Holder? Nope. Lois Lerner? Nope. Hillary Clinton? Nope... What we see are things swept under the carpet, cases thrown out for lack of evidence, and the Attorney General exercising "prosecutorial discretion" and deciding not to prosecute crimes committed by those officials that this Administration doesn't want to bring to justice.

After the public pressure to pull out of Afgan both POTUS and congressmen are very reluctant to send more Americans back to a place like Syria & Iraq again. No matter how many heads Daesh chops over there as long as the American public do not feel they are any threat to the safety and security of the US, there will be little support to have American troops killed over there. It will take a few more Paris and Boston type bombings on our own soil to get peoples' attention and convince US there is a real threat from Daesh which is worth the deaths an long term commitment of US.

Not really...the only foreign policy moves Obama has made have been have been ones to make him look good in some way. Look at Cuba; a hurried, threadbare reestablishing diplomatic ties that ignored decades of legitimate issues by American cits/companies/US government & local civil rights violations in an effort to have something to crow about.

We needed to do the deal in the end, no doubt. But by not addressing all the issues Americans have against the Cuban government for killing of US cits, harboring American fugitives, confiscated properties etc, Obama looked so eager to have a shiny victory for an administration bare of them that the Cubans signed w/o doing anything.

Sorry, Obama didn't do anything to the GOP. Hell if the GOP was half as competent as Dems/Obama claim then our economy would be in better shape, we might have some respect left from the world, and maybe, just maybe our Constitution would be worth something again.
