Did Hurricane Patricia have as big of an impact on Louisiana as was expected?

It is probably too early to tell, but the rain has subsided in the surrounding area of Fort Polk.

Not in the least I was in New Orleans for Katrina

As you said, time will tell. Plenty of roads got damaged, some houses and buildings due to the storms. More to come, but not as severe this weekend.
