DD Form 368, Transfer to Active Duty? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/dd-form-368-transfer-to-active-duty

How long will the process take before I get my packet back to take to an Active Duty Recruiter? Research on the topic has shown me anywhere from a week, to 2 years wait time. I am fine with staying in constant contact with my Readiness NCO to keep tabs on where my packet is at, but I am not sure how much "pull" he has on getting it approved at Battalion, and Brigade.

Will having dropped my packet hinder me from any schools/promotions at my current National Guard unit, I am currently up for my E-5, and will get to keep my rank during the transfer, if I receive it. I am also considering changing MOS to 11B upon transfer, and plan on contacting my training NCO to see if my current unit will send me to the school, rather than jumping into an OSUT after the transfer. Is all of that false hope since I ruined my chances by dropping a packet?

I am also pondering how long I should wait to contact a State Rep, or my local congressman to have my packet pushed, it seems that once you contact them, it takes less than a week to get your packet back, however, pissing off your entire chain of command by going over their head's doesn't seem like a very smart idea.

I am eager to have my packet approved, and am ready to join the Active Duty ranks. I try to be your typical "High speed low drag" soldier, and it has seemed to work so far in the National Guard ranks, but I am itching for more, and need to do it while I am young, so I am not your 45 year old SSG who spend his life in the National Guard, regretting the decision to not go Active Duty.

NOTE: I dropped my packet Feb 2 2019, I know this is a hasty post, but I am desperately seeking answers. I believe my packet is at Battalion level currently, but my Readiness NCO is currently at school, and is unable to track it down for me for about 3 more weeks.
