He had a couple soldiers who were wearing boots that are not in regulation. My question is, how are boots measured? I can only find the measurement for the outsole in the DA PAM 670-1 on directions for measurement. The boots must be between 8 to 10 inches in height and made of tan flesh-side out cattlehide leather, with a plain toe and a soling system matching the color of the tan upper materials. ... The soling materials will not exceed 2 inches in height, when measured from the bottom of the outsole, and will not extend up the back of the heel or boot or over the top of the toe. <br /><br />So as it is clearly stated, the boot, when measured from the ground to the top of the boot must be at least 8&quot; in height and will not exceed 10&quot; in height. The sole of the boot will not exceed two inches in height.

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Good question SGT Samples, the regulation says that if you use commercial boots they have to be between 8-10 inches in height and the sole cannot exceed 2 inches in height.<br /><br />In an unrelated matter, what happened to addressing Soldiers by their rank and not by their pay grade. I would be very upset if someone says I was talking to E7 Dominguez
