Crazy or corrupt? Which is the lesser of the two evils?

One has managed to sabotage his own campaign through silly antics and boorish behavior. The other continues to have her scandals unravel into an obvious pattern of political corruptness that far exceeds anything seen before with a presidential candidate. Can Trump win back the dissenting Republicans, and will the Clinton Foundation scandals make a difference to minority voters? I say its possible.

The real question is which is the greater evil. In my mind the nominees to the SCOTUS will have the longest range consequences for our nation; if the court is packed with liberals that substitute their own feelings and ideology for the Constitution it will do serious damage to our Constitutional form of government that will last for decades and will perhaps be irreversible regardless of who is elected next.

80 somewhat days till the election. A lot can happen. What I find fascinating is Trump says something and the media thinks he's crazy then it actually comes out as truth. Looks to me he is playing the media and the Democrats like a smooth train conductor even though at times he doesn't seem to be at the wheel so to speak.

Well, let's see. The crazy one has beat out 16 or so competitors for the nomination for president by the voters and has a worldwide business empire worth billions. No major scandals. The he other couple (it is a twofer) are rift with scandals over two decades, both proven liars and corrupt to the max. Oh, had to work in concert to beat out her Dem opposition. I can understand why a "good" Democrat would vote for her.

Personally, corrupt is something that is manageable because you know what motives corrupt. Crazy, contrary to 1SG Patrick Burke, SFC Bernard Walko, Capt Seid Waddell and SGT Tim Soyars may feel, crazy cannot be fixed, managed, or mitigated. Caligula was crazy. Pol Pot was crazy. Robert Mugabe was crazy. North Korea's Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il, and Kim Jong Un were and are CRAZY and you guys want CRAZY in charge of our government, military might, AND nuclear arsenal? Corrupt can be jailed. Crazy has to die from natural causes or get shot.
Also, to answer your question SFC J Fullerton, if Trump can win back those Republicans he snubbed and embarrassed in the early going, it will tough sledding and he'd better pack a lunch because that will be an all day job. I'm not saying he can't because we've seen how nuts this political cycle is, but because he failed to follow the first rule of politics (First, you go along. Then, you get along) he will have to cow-tow, step-and-fetch, and make YUUUUGGGE concessions to get that support back

Rate each of the candidates from each of the Marine Core Leadership Traits on a scale of 1 to 5. Between the two, the donald comes out with a better score from my perspective. At that point the choice is obvious. Crazy can be tempered by the cabinet he chooses and I doubt the senate will confirm more crazy.

SFC J Fullerton For me, Trump didn't lose favor by his boorish behavior. He knows nothing of the Constitution or the values of our nation and doesn't care. He has a serious narcissism that prevents him from caring about others. His narcissism makes him an easy target--he can be easily distracted for days by a simple insult. The people who have worked most closely with him--who are not paid by him--say he has ZERO attention span and a sociopathic disinterest in the welfare of others. He could nuke the world as easily as ordering a latte.

Clinton is pretty much the same as the politicians we've usually had. The reason the Republicans have been committing all their time and millions of taxpayer dollars into finding her scandals pre-election instead of later is because the GOP knew since 2013 that they desperately needed to discredit her. They knew all their potential candidates were way out of touch with most of the voters, thanks to the Tea Party leading the party to the far right. Even Reagan wasn't this far right.

Now Trump is bringing the ALT-RIGHT into power with him. White nationalism is loving it.

Putin is really getting everything he wants now that Trump is a viable candidate.

This reminds me of a story about a man who had a flat tire while driving in the rain to a banquet where he was to deliver an important speech. It happened in a time before cell phones and he was forced to exit his car in the rain while dressed in his formal attire to change the tire himself. He placed the lug nuts in the hub cap (Google "hub cap" if you're not sure what it is). When he pulled the tire off the hub, he accidentally dropped it on the lip of the hub cap and the lug nuts were flipped into a muddy ditch and he couldn't find them. As he wondered what to do a voice called to him "Hey!" Looking up he saw a man watching him from the other side of a fence surrounding an insane asylum. "Take one lug nut off each of the other wheels and use them to attach the spare," he suggested. Brilliant, the man thought, and he did it. He thanked the inmate for the suggestion. "That was really smart. Why are you in there?", he asked pointing to the asylum. "I'm nuts, not stupid," the inmate replied. Well, Trump may act nuts but he sure as hell isn't stupid. He was smart enough to gauge the temper of the people. Hillary and her camp have had no defense other than to create a false narrative around his words and actions in an attempt to make him appear as a bad choice for President.

Also, "crazy" and "corrupt" are both irrelevant by themselves. A "crazy" neighbor who shouts racial slurs at me as I walk home every day, and a "corrupt" restaurant worker who slides his drug dealer free food are no threat to you and I. But couple "crazy" and/or "corrupt" with this little thing called "power," and *THAT* is when things get dangerous.

I had a realization today that galvanized my vote for Trump in November. It happened when some one on the radio mentioned the possibility of Impeaching Hillary based on the pay to play allegations going around right now. I thought to myself, "Yeah right, with overwhelming evidence of illegal activity we couldn't even get an indictment when she was out of office. I don't even know what it would take to impeach her if she wins". I literally can't imagine a crime she could commit that she would be called out on, especially if the Dems get the Senate back. Then I realized, Trump is unpopular with established Republicans, unpopular with established Democrats, and constantly under criticism by the media. He would be the most impeachable president we have had since... who knows. He wont be able to step out of line or commit the smallest over reach without both sides of congress and the media crawling up his back and down his throat. If for no other reason than this I will vote for him, the executive would actually be checked, challenged, and held accountable.

Corrupt is evil due to intent. Crazy can be evil due to the consequence of acts that may or may not have evil in its intent. Placing the question aside, this is still a democracy and the United States of America has the alternative to choosing between two "evils". Despite the long fought efforts of the two parties, there are third party alternatives. What better way to change the way politics serves this country than shake up the status quo and place a third party president in power. Give the Congress something to unite against and we might just have a true democracy again.

Our military is being openly taunted at sea by Iranians in rigid boats and our President does nothing???? George Washington, Teddy Roosevelt and Ronald Reagan are rolling over in their graves.
Crazy can be tempered with a few good cabinet appointments. HRC will fill hers with donors to the Foundation. Corruption is absolute. It has no end. Once you've been purchased there is no going back.
Trump isn't a great choice. I don't like him. But he is the lesser of the two evils.

It will be the first election probably I did not vote for a Democrat or Republican for President. Leaning towards Trump but I have not seen enough yet for me to pull that lever and he is still too childish (or more accurately - socially retarded) to be President in my opinion. He should have spent more of his life outside of New York City when he was younger.
