I grew up on the cusp, what we know of today as the burbs. The city was at my front door and the country at the back. Seriously, we had a stream and woods in our backyard. Of course, Baltimore, in those days, was a bedroom community conveniently located between sophisticated places like Washington and Philadelphia-NY. All were a quick train ride away. I had the best of everything.

From the age of 5 until joining the Air Force we lived on 5 acres in a small town with a church, post office and maybe 40 houses.

I guess I would say country.

Lived in The Sub-Burbs But spent 1/2 my time on a Farm and the rest on the edge of the City

COL Lee Flemming When my kid brother was a 11 H in Germany before his short trip to Vietnam, a 'city boy' would always be assigned as driver of the 106 Jeep. Country boys were too steady and cautious.

City-Boston Massachusetts,now unfortunately in the burbs believe it or not I couldn't afford my old neighborhood with all the yuppies moving in,that's the trouble they all come to college here and don't leave!

I was born in Boston, MA and we moved to the suburbs when I was 2. For me, I like the country side feel a lot more these days. Small towns are more my style COL Lee Flemming
