However, I feel my time in the military has had major questions be brought up on indicting President Obama on treason for some of his actions and now former Preside George W. Bush.

Personally I have to wonder if that is a reality or just more bluster from the hill. I have heard arguments on this happening but honestly, I can't see our country doing it and I was wondering how those at RP felt about this being a possibility. The process for what you're talking about (while the President is in office) is impeachment. Of course, President Nixon was impeached. As was President Clinton. Regarding charges against a former President ... I guess it's possible, but I don't see it happening to President Bush for this ballyhoo over enhanced interrogation techniques, because DoJ lawyers opined that those actions were legal. Unless the "crime" is egregious, I think it's poor form (extremely poor form) for one President to criticize another - past, present, or future - or to entertain talk of "going after" a former President with criminal charges. Disagree with their politics, okay, but stop with the attacks. It makes me wonder about the purpose of the attacks ... maybe to distract public attention from current issues happening in our country and our world?Response by CW5 Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 11 at 2014 5:48 PM2014-12-11T17:48:18-05:002014-12-11T17:48:18-05:002014-12-11T17:45:15-05:00
