Could this FINALLY be the year the Cubs win the World Series?

Donald Trump is leading the GOP polls for President.

We have a nuclear agreement with Iran.

I just paid the normal price of $1.76 for a gallon of unleaded.

Gay marriage is now legal in every state of the country.

We haven't heard a peep from Al Gore lately.

And Jim Bakker is back on TV, this time claiming the world's gonna end but urging people to stock up on years' worth of supplies that he sells so those that miss the rapture can survive the Antichrist and the coming holocaust.

.....and the Chicago Cubs actually have a great team this year.

If hell hasn't frozen over this year, the Snowmizer is working his magic.

Will this FINALLY be the year the Chicago Cubs win the World Series? Will they at least make it?

These birds will end up shutting everyone down. Remember, the Cardinals flourish in the post season.

I have been a Cubs fan since I was born in the 80's. There have obviously been some ups and downs over that time. However what has me feeling confident that this team will continue it's upward track is this....the young talent continues to get better. With how many rookies they have playing key roles, history says they should have hit a wall a month-in-a-half ago....but instead of hitting that wall they have gotten better. This is a very good sign moving forward in my opinion.

Also, the chemistry that this team has. They'll lose 3-4 games in a role and not only is there no finger pointing....they still enjoy playing the game....and more importantly...playing the game together!

Being a baseball guy, this has me excited on a lot of different levels!

This team has more talent than any other Cubs team that I can recall (I remember back to the 84 Cubs team - before that, I was way to young). They have a solid 1-2 punch for starting pitching, the bullpen has gotten better over the last few months, and their line up is filled with guys who can go deep at any at bat and they have depth on the bench! Having knocked out the top two teams (record wise) in baseball in their first two playoff series - I'd say it's looking for the Cubs to at least make it to the world series, if not win it all.

I do know, if they make it to the world series - I will be at Wrigley for a game (I expect to pay up to $1000 for bleacher seats :( )!
