Could this be what we face in the future - Iran urges India, China & Russia to counter NATO missile system?

This article is dated, but with the recent events where the US is making a deal with Iran (lifting sanctions), thus allowing Iran to acquire new and updated military equipment, expand its capabilities; and Russia and the Chinese expanding their military capabilities; and the possibility of India joining them; is this what the new alliance of evil will look like for World War III?

Iran has announced its readiness to cooperate with Russia, China and India on the issue of NATO’s missile shield and related threats from the military bloc, the head of its defense ministry said in Moscow.

We already face it, and the POTUS has already backed down. He has cancelled the ABM systems in Poland and the Czech Republic as well as the airborne laser ABM system, and has limited our West Coast ABM deployments.

Here in lies a pitfall for the both the Russians and Chinese. With both countries having issues with their Muslim minorities, would this play well for these two nations. None of these countries are in the long haul for anything, Iran in the past referred to Soviets as the lesser devil. A PAX IIRC I don't really see. Even the Chinese eventually got tired of the Soviet/Stalin mindset. None of the countries want to be second string. Who leads it? Iran, no way in hell will Putin play second fiddle to some second world religious dictator. China's Le Kiquang is not going to rollover and play second tier to Putin or Iran, he is modernizing his forces so he can play a role in hegemony in his arenas of the world and force other countries to do China's bidding.

A weak alliance is better than no alliance, but are the tow main rulers willing to go to bat with some one who would risk war with the US/Israel? China would stand the most to lose economically. Russia gains little in this arrangement. Most certainly India would go Western, wanting to be in alliance with a main player. Pakistan, whom I have no doubt is helping Iran with their nuclear program, and has signed deal with china for ports in Pakistan.

What I've learned from past history lessons and the current state of the world is that we can't actually tell what the motives are of any country and we don't know which countries would truly aligned themselves with other countries opposing NATO and western coalition countries.

Any source other than Putin's mouthpiece? I would find an Indian alignment against NATO as decidedly odd. India's rapidly growing middle class hinges on Western economies and they share more in common with us than either Russia or China. The only shared concern they have there is geography.

That said, I think we have to remember that when it comes to Iran, we have a long and deservedly contentious relationship with the older generation. Any deals with Iran have to have the long game in mind as the younger crowd is less hardline, less angry and much more open to global integration. Some normalization while we wait for Khomeini to die is a good thing.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend seems to be a good way to sum this up. Russia and China have long held that an attack on Iran or Syria would be viewed as an attack on their National Security due to proximity. Iran is simply using it's proximity as leverage to gain sympathy from Russia. It's a geographical strategic move.

Very interesting article COL Mikel J. Burroughs. I think that SGT Jeremiah B. has made some very valid points already, especially dealing with India. I also have a hard time believing that Iran, India, Russia, and China could agree on of this magnitude.

COL Mikel J. Burroughs I think I know how to protect our sattelites from Russia's new missles.
Based on what I saw on the specs we can actually hide them from being tracked by their new satellite system with nitrogen would have to be basically to paneled Steel the exterior not protected from space to his going to be maintained that temperature all ready and then cryo cold nitrogen would maintain that state and space so if we had this basically flowing I guess you could say almost like a box around the satellites it would prevent it from being tracked in space they can't track at they can't hit it we wouldn't have to block out where the information is beating back to us only wear the functioning that is creating that communication is going on so that it appears in total to be the same temperature as the background rendering them invisible

I can see Russia, China, and Iran joining together but I can't see India joining them. they get too much business from the U.S.
But that's my thought.
