Could network TV release a program like CPO Sharkey today?

Time Life just released season one of Don Rickles' 1976-1978 NBC Navy SitCom CPO Sharkey. Do you think network TV would attempt to release such a non-PC program these days? Rickles is a WWII Navy Vet and a "salty comedian. Cold a modern comic pull something like this off?

Not sure. Even Mel Brooks would likely not fare well these days.

Non-PC is almost met with threats of the death penalty, so I would say that CPO Sharkey and SGT Bilko would not make it to TV in the modern age.
