Both have flaws, both have perks. The biggest difference is the games for them, and the comfort of the controllers. Personally, I love the PS4 controllers and cannot stand the controllers for Xbox, while other people are exactly the opposite. Most games can be purchased on both systems, though their are numerous games that are exclusive to one or the other. I actually almost went and bought an Xbox because of Titanfall, pissed me off that it is Xbox exclusive. My suggestion would be to go look at the games, see which ones you would be more interested in playing, and go to the store and get a feel for the controllers. Make your choice off of that.

I myself have been a Playstation fan since PS2 (had a PS2 and Xbox, couldn't stand the original xbox as it froze up and crashed constantly; from what I have heard from people and read they no longer have this issue) SSgt Private RallyPoint Member Thu, 15 Oct 2015 12:50:16 -0400 2015-10-15T12:50:16-04:00 Response by PO2 Private RallyPoint Member made Oct 15 at 2015 1:16 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/console-xbox-one-or-ps4?n=1042653&urlhash=1042653

I have both, but I'm about to sell my PS4 for another XBone so my wife and I can both have one. I've always been more of an Xbox fan, mainly because of the controller. A more recent reason, Achievements. I may be weird for this, but Achievements excite me while earning Trophies just isn't as fun. Overall I just have much better experiences with Xbox, especially the One over the PS4. However, im saving up for the XBOX ONE. If you're not too sure what to buy I would see if any local pawn shops have the PS3 or 4 or the XBOX they sell them pretty cheap, and have a layaway plan. From an upgrade perspective PCs can be modified as much or little as you like. They can never get outdated as a whole, just individual parts (hardware or software). From a gaming experience I feel more comfortable and have a better time playing games with a mouse and keyboard set-up than a controller. Any piece of equipment that automatically makes games from a previous generation unusable, is not a good thing in my book. I am a BIG PC gamer and build my own gaming PC's. All that being said, if I were to buy a console from taday's generation, it would be a PS4. It is the more powerful of the 2 systems. It has more 3rd party developer support at this time.

If you can wait, a new version of the PS4 is coming out, if memory serves, at the end of this year. It is called the PS 4 Neo. I am of the opinion that doiong that would be the better option. Especially if you are looking into VR at some point.
