You have already been to basic, so it might be a faster process for you once you do all of the paperwork.Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 23 at 2016 6:20 PM2016-02-23T18:20:07-05:002016-02-23T18:20:07-05:00MAJ Private RallyPoint Member1325803<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Do you have your Bachelors degree yet?Response by MAJ Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 23 at 2016 6:23 PM2016-02-23T18:23:10-05:002016-02-23T18:23:10-05:00LTC Private RallyPoint Member1326530<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Another route would be to go through your State OCS to get your commission and then go Federal Service. Officers don't enlist but we do incur a minimum initial service time of 6 years with 2 additional years on IRR if we don't resign our commission. If we don't resign our commission and get out or retire, we are placed on IRR status until age 60-62 and can be called back to service.Response by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 23 at 2016 10:33 PM2016-02-23T22:33:06-05:002016-02-23T22:33:06-05:00CPT Private RallyPoint Member1327584<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I would suggest that you get a conditional release from the guard(however I know few that did it quickly) go to federal ocs. If you want to be active do not go into your states ocs program. You will never get out of the guard after that.Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 24 at 2016 10:35 AM2016-02-24T10:35:41-05:002016-02-24T10:35:41-05:00CPT(P) Private RallyPoint Member1327744<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>3 year minimum commitment.Response by CPT(P) Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 24 at 2016 11:28 AM2016-02-24T11:28:05-05:002016-02-24T11:28:05-05:002016-02-23T18:15:53-05:00
