Considering going guard to active army, if I go OCS is there a minimum enlistment time in order to go OCS or can I enlist just three years?

You can go straight into OCS, but some recruiting Battalions hold interviews or contests to see who will get the slots. You have already been to basic, so it might be a faster process for you once you do all of the paperwork.

Another route would be to go through your State OCS to get your commission and then go Federal Service. Officers don't enlist but we do incur a minimum initial service time of 6 years with 2 additional years on IRR if we don't resign our commission. If we don't resign our commission and get out or retire, we are placed on IRR status until age 60-62 and can be called back to service.

I would suggest that you get a conditional release from the guard(however I know few that did it quickly) go to federal ocs. If you want to be active do not go into your states ocs program. You will never get out of the guard after that.
