Coming from reserves to Active, will the Army move my family?

Hey guys, coming from Reserves to Active duty, I understand this will most likely be PCS orders (I’m guessing) will this mean the Army will move my family and our personal belonging?

I don’t Know About now but in 1999 I went from Guard to Active Duty and they Moved my Family to my First Duty Station, Good Luck in Your Transition

Absolutely unless the army went bonkers. Do you have instructions on who to contact for household goods transportation?

Sgt Sheedy I don't know if JTR (Joint Travel Regulation) is online or not hopefully you would be able to contact your new command admin and get that information or if you have a sponsor maybe they can help you get the answer.

Yes, just contact the transportation office closest to you or the one at your gaining command to set up your move

They didn't move my family in 86 or was it 84 but anyway no they did not move my family. Had to pay for it myself.

Hey SGT Sheedy, just an FYI ensure that you have all your IPERM documents on hand. Almost every soldier I've had transition over to the active component has had issues with IPERM documents.
