Citizenship vs. Licensing

I posted earlier in the week in regards to the POTUS's coments on immigration.

Now my social media feeds are riddled with pictures like this.

How should we position ourselves to support this when negative statistic after negative allegation are coming out.

Are we still the Land of Opportunity (with rules), or have we becomnation that has become a nation that caterers to 'illegal' activity and is killing itself economically in the process.

SFC Private RallyPoint Member, if you are saying that you disagree with "rewarding" illegal activity - and that's what I think you are saying - then I'm with you. I just don't understand it. I agree with the President's comments about finding a middle ground for all the illegal immigrants in our country, but I disagree with giving legal status to people who came here illegally. As the President said, mass deportation is not an option (agreed), and mass amnesty is also not an option. I believe he said the comment about amnesty as he was describing his executive action as middle ground.

I don't know what that middle ground should look like, but I do agree with the President that we need to be somewhere in the middle. Here's hoping Congress will take meaningful action on immigration reform in 2015.
