However, I believe that networking is the most important point made.

Furthermore, networking doesn't start when you get out of the military. It should be a regular part of your professional life.

Websites like RP and LinkedIn facilitate networking and building relationships. I'm a HUGE proponent of both sites.

As far as networking goes, make yourself a business card, a business phone contact (that can be shared), a CV and a resume. Pass and share all of these regularly in a professional manner.

Connect! Build relationships.... Talk to people and shake hands. Get involved in your community. Make your name and face known.Response by CPT Chris Loomis made Jun 11 at 2015 11:00 AM2015-06-11T11:00:47-04:002015-06-11T11:00:47-04:00SCPO David Lockwood741155

Good points and all true!Response by SCPO David Lockwood made Jun 11 at 2015 11:20 AM2015-06-11T11:20:11-04:002015-06-11T11:20:11-04:00MAJ Ken Landgren741954

The military should convene with a dynamic list of industries to cross walk military skills with civilian careers to help enumerate different possibilities to veterans.Response by MAJ Ken Landgren made Jun 11 at 2015 4:09 PM2015-06-11T16:09:36-04:002015-06-11T16:09:36-04:00PO1 John Miller745856

Good advice, but a lot of this information is (or should be) already put out in Transition Assistance training.Response by PO1 John Miller made Jun 13 at 2015 11:51 AM2015-06-13T11:51:05-04:002015-06-13T11:51:05-04:002015-06-11T10:49:27-04:00
