Canadian Attacks, Journalism, Sensationalism and Bias

This article makes some great points about the above topics. Had anyone else heard about the attack in June resulting in 3 KIA? Did anyone not see rolling 24/7 of this most recent attack?

I hadn't heard about the attack in June at all. Awareness of threats is important, so is data. I'm far more likely to be killed by idiotic drivers in my current city than armed attackers, but I take precautions against both. The likelihood of each cause of death guides the money time and effort in mitigating each threat.

Last week's murders in Ottawa and Quebec do nothing to change the fact that the country is one of the safest and most secure in history–and has faced much worse in the past.
