Can you take a Momement to Remember these Great Hero's?

These U.S. Army War College students, with their age, graduation year and year of death, died in Sept. 11 attacks or subsequent battles;

Lt. Gen. Timothy J. Maude, 53, 1990, 2001

Col. Canfield D. Boone, 53, 2002, 2001*

Col. Richard C. Rescorla, 62, 1988, 2001

Sri Lankan Lt. Gen. Parami Kulatunge, 49, 2003, 2006

Col. Brian D. Allgood, 47, 2002, 2007

Col. John M. McHugh, 46, 2009, 2010

*honorary graduate and posthumously promoted to colonel.

COL Canfield D. Boone was a classmate of mine in the Class of 2002. We started the War College in April 2000
U.S. Army 1st Sgt. Sabrina Washington stood at attention, her eyes boring through the crowd at Carlisle Barracks and called roll.

“Lt. Col. Maude,” Washington barked.

None of the 100-plus military officers flanking Root Hall at the U.S. Army War College answered.
“Timothy Maude. Lt. Col. Timothy J. Maude,” Washington called again.

Still no answer.

The solemn men and women remained mute as five more names were called.

Six soldiers. Six missing soldiers. Six men who once strode into Root for daily classes, lingered with their military classmates on the lawn outside. Walked the streets of Carlisle during their year as students at the college’s center for strategic military studies.

Six deaths during and after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

LTG Timothy J. Maude and his primary staff were watching the aftermath of the attack on NY City on TV in his office. A friend of mine who was present in the office left to go to the bathroom on the inner ring. The plane hit LTG Timothy J. Maude's office and killed everybody inside instantly. My friend was burned severely even though he was at the other end because the flames shot up the hall.
The neighbors of some friends from church were passengers on the plane that hit the pentagon. Many people on Northern Virginia were directly affected by the 9/11 attack as were many in NY City.
I do not expect do ever forget what happened to this nation on 9/11/2011

It's not hard to find liberal/(insert alternative) propaganda (literally) in curricula. Sadly, not only at "liberal..." Colleges/universities... But also in many K-12 "institutions" as well!

I'll never forget COL Mikel J. Burroughs. I've read a lot about Col Rescoria and the work that he did prior to 911as he surely saved many lives by his insistence on drills at his company at the WTC. also had the pleasure of seeing his memorial at Fort Benning although its a shame as it looks like the stone work is falling apart already!
