Are there other lenders that you used and would recommend? What would you do differently in your mortgage process if you had to do it again? <br />I will be PCS'ing to Fort Drum in October and am hoping to close on a house by then. Can you recommend for or against a VA Loan lender that you used?2014-05-28T00:07:46-04:001LT Private RallyPoint Member136452<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I've seen a lot of hype about Veterans United, but have not talked to an individual about their experience. Tell 'em I sent you! The process is pretty much the same everywhere; the only major difference is the level of customer service. Also, I would recommend that if you are able to afford a down payment, you explore traditional financing as well. In many cases, the VA Loan Guarantee does not provide the best rates if you can make a down payment. Your lending institution of choice should review all options with you and assist you in making the best choice based on your particular situation.Response by MSG Wade Huffman made May 28 at 2014 7:22 AM2014-05-28T07:22:01-04:002014-05-28T07:22:01-04:00Maj Private RallyPoint Member136606<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Sgt Treyster, you will be in good hands with Veterans United!
