Can you re-enlist with a DWI?

Had someone I know recently get a DWI and they were going to put in a re-enlistment package soon. Any pointers or idea what will happen?

Your stuff is all jacked up. Are you an Army 11B or are you a Lance corporal in the Marines? These are different Retention programs

Why would the Armed Forces accept a DUI conviction from the outside when they have way too many on the inside. Apply to the Peace Corps not the Miltary. That is only my opinion.

Recent DWI? I don't think ANY recruiter is going to want to touch that one. But, the only way to know for sure is to have your friend walk into a recruiting office and ask to find out.

I had an experience with this in Army regular. He or she will be met with many frowns, stern looks, but I doubt if one dwi would bar one from re-upping, assuming it was a " run of the mill" driving while intoxicated.
