Can you decline the assignment if you are accepted into the AGR program?

Sir,
You can decline the assignment, however you may be brought down to the bottom of the list for consideration. Acceptance into the AGR program is contingent on accepting the assignment offered as I’m told. You can probably get clarification from your career manager.

Yup, as SSG Ramos stated you will be moved to the bottom of the list and the next person will get an offer. You will need to wait until the next year when you resubmit your application before getting another offer. I declined 2 offers before accepting a position in the program so dont feel like that offer is the be all end all. There may be more vacancies for the following board since there are constantly people promoting, pcsing, or refrading off the program.
