Most of the time investigations are closed and the flags removed, but there are others times that is not. Sure, almost anything could he waived with a high enough approval. But, why would it be waived? What about you or your situation is so unique or pressing that it hadn&#39;t been considered when the policy was created? There is no reason that a General is going to personally request an exception to that policy for you. Flags stop all Favorable Actions. This includes schools, whether they be resident or virtual. AR 600-8-2 is your source. But, to answer a question, yes you can be waived....but the request has to go all the way up to DCS, G–3/5/7 (DAMO–TR). Again, the source is AR 600-8-2, section 3-1, subsection F.
