SPC Scott Fleener 5423901 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I received my TBI in 2017 affecting my right frontal lobe which affects my emotions and impulse control. I&#39;m just wondering if I can be recalled? I can&#39;t handle stress the way I used too and I shut down in chaotic environments. I feel bad I can&#39;t fight anymore but I&#39;m genuinely concerned I&#39;d be recalled and get people hurt due to my TBI. I was interested previously in getting into law enforcement but after I tried to work at a jail like setting I quickly realized I am not equipped to deal with loud Chaotic environments anymore. Will I be recalled and if so will I be found for to serve? Thanks Can veterans with a Severe TBI be recalled into service? 2020-01-07T21:51:54-05:00 SPC Scott Fleener 5423901 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I received my TBI in 2017 affecting my right frontal lobe which affects my emotions and impulse control. You&#39;re an entry level 31B, your skill set is not one that is so hard to fill that the Army has to pull people out of retirement for it.<br />There are two primary types of recalls. Recall from retirement, and recall from the IRR. Retirees are recalled when they have a critical short skill like doctors, surgeons, or some other highly technical skill. IRR can be called up to backfill deploying units. If you&#39;re disabled then it won&#39;t apply to you. Or if you aren&#39;t in the IRR, it doesn&#39;t apply to you.
