SGT Private RallyPoint Member 5235153 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Any help would be very much appreciated, Thank you in advance. I have a Soldier that he passes his PT test and goes to gym consistently can’t pass the Army body fat percentage standard due to where he is being taped...is there a possibility if he were to use the BodPod the AWC has to prove that he’s within range of body fat? Can someone use the Army Wellness Center's BodPod to prove they meet body fat standards? 2019-11-14T10:29:35-05:00 SGT Private RallyPoint Member 5235153 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Any help would be very much appreciated, Thank you in advance. Most people GAIN a lot of percentages in the pod. The BodPod will more than likely not be favorable to your Soldier. But the tape test is the only authorized way of measuring body fat. The wellness center can be used as a tool, but not the official measure of body fat. Yeah it&#39;s annoying, but as long as he is passing the tape it doesn&#39;t matter. This Soldier is far from being the only person in this situation. The weight standards suck, we all know it. I&#39;m about 20 lbs over what i &quot;should&quot; be ....if it was the 50s and I only at 1 lettuce leaf and ran marathons everyday. But I pass the tape. THOR3 has a $2500 BMI scale/machine, according to it, I&#39;m at like 16%, according to the tape I&#39;m at 21%, according to height/weight standards, I&#39;m 20 lbs over weight.<br />This is also the reason we have the tape, because the height/weight standards cannot apply to everyone. They taped me at 34% when I was at 28% according to the bod pod. I’m assuming it’s up to command discression. In the regulation for failing HT/WT soldiers are supposed to be counseled about seeing a nutritionist, which they are located at the AWC here in Bliss. They usually do a bod pod test anyway, and you have to show your plan to the command team.
