Speaking from my experience going thru an OSUT as a prior service, the Drill Sergeants pretty much left me and the other prior service Soldiers alone. We were expected to be at all training events and formations, but we were put in the back of all formations....both standing and marching formations. We were not placed in charge of any of the IETs. We were left to our own devices after COB. As long as we didn't screw up, they left us alone. But, this was 12B Engineer OSUT. Not sure how it will be for you, though.Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 7 at 2018 9:46 AM2018-02-07T09:46:56-05:002018-02-07T09:46:56-05:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member3331296<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Thank you! I’ve been trying to look into it, but I keep seeing completely mixed experiences. Did they know right off the bat that you were prior service?Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 7 at 2018 9:52 AM2018-02-07T09:52:46-05:002018-02-07T09:52:46-05:00SPC David Willis3331321<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>My IET cycle had a couple reclass guys in it. Im assuming it will be similar, but they had their own barracks room and stayed separate from us. One SGT did ruffle some feathers when he tried to push his rank on others but other than that they had it a lot easier haha.Response by SPC David Willis made Feb 7 at 2018 9:58 AM2018-02-07T09:58:45-05:002018-02-07T09:58:45-05:00CPT Lawrence Cable3331418<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I guess the big question being Navy, are you repeating all of OSUT, or going to Warrior Transition and then drop in on Phase II? A while back, but a number of guys that were reclassified from a different Service went through from day one. The Drills generally picked them for leadership positions and didn't give them the "personal" attention that the rest of us received. Other than that, they were part of the platoon and did everything the rest of us were doing.Response by CPT Lawrence Cable made Feb 7 at 2018 10:25 AM2018-02-07T10:25:33-05:002018-02-07T10:25:33-05:00SGT Joseph Gunderson3331548<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I mean, what OSUT? 11B, 19K, 19D?
