Can PME be deferred due to the travel ban?

If I was slotted to attend ALC, and was subsequently canceled due to the travel ban, can I request a PME deferment 4187 for promotion to SSG if my MOS is critically under strength for SSG and I meet the cut off scores?

HRC will issue guidance once they have determined how they want to tackle the issue. There are thousands of Soldiers getting deferred so HRC will have to issue a plan to the branches as to who will get rescheduled when. The same thing happened back in 2013 when the government shutdown canceled classes.

Basically, there are no answers yet and we can expect HRC to give us guidance next week. I wouldn't expect them to allow a PME ETP for the travel ban, though, because it only applies for deployed Soldiers

Will you go later as a SSG? Personally I think officers should go to some of the same leadership schools as enlisted.

This happened going into a weekend- I'd personally expect formal answers no earlier than by mid-week. There's going to be a lot of discussion and requirements coming up through TRADOC and HRC to figure this all out. It's a rapidly changing environment and I suggest expecting the unexpected.
I am tentatively scheduled for SLC to begin in about 16 days- I doubt that it won't be cancelled since every other person in that class is not permanent party.
If you haven't developed a PACE plan yet, I suggest doing so, and seeing as you're OCONUS, if the next ALC date is too close to your DEROS, you may end up having to go while en route.
