They are in the VA loop, but the county employs them to be your advocate and know what you are eligible for. I went in to see mine and it changed my life. My county's VSO improved my family's quality of life through her knowledge and understanding. All they can say is no, what do you have to lose? Remember, the County VSO has a vested interest in ensuring they take care of you because that is what the county pays them to do.Response by SSG Roger Ayscue made Jun 17 at 2024 11:22 PM2024-06-17T23:22:52-04:002024-06-17T23:22:52-04:00MSG Paul Weller8794353<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I retired with 21yrs and never used my GI Bill or 911 bill(Forgot the name). I tried to transfer my GI Bill to my step daughter but was told I had to extend for 4 more years.... I already had an approved retirement.
