Can I use my GI Bill while on terminal leave? Can I continue to use it without interruption when my terminal ends?

I'm preparing my UQR memo and need to write a date for the last day of active service. I'm going to attend grad school in Fall of '21. I have a LOT of leave built up thanks to deployments and COVID and would want to maximize PTDY as well. So my question is, is there anything wrong with technically being on terminal leave when school starts? Would I be able to continue using my GI Bill? Or would I be creating some bureaucratic nightmare?

You can use your GI Bill on active duty - the 9/11 GI Bill you can. I did. I used it to get my second Master's a year ago. Before that I used it in conjunction with TA to finish my first Master's.

The only stipulation after you get off active duty is you have 15 years to use your 9/11 GI Bill.

You don't have to reapply for benefits after you ETS because you have to have your eligibility evaluated prior to receiving benefits. That part can take a few months, so be sure to do that well before you submit your UQR.
