Can I use my DA-31 and CAC to fly?

Stationed in Germany currently and i’m trying to take leave to the states. Don’t have a passport but I’ve heard you can use leave form and CAC to fly back because you’re on orders. Any help would be appreciated

Unless it has changed recently, If that is how you came in to country, that is how you leave and reeneter. If you scan a blue tourist passport then they will be looking for you to exit after 90 days. Not everyone gets a maroon Military passport unless you go TDY a lot.

When I took leave from vilseck I had a pass port but I also could of just shown my da31 and ID. They never asked for my passport in Munich

Having your military ID and leave form is all you should need. That is all I needed when I took leave from Korea. It may be a different story if you try to fly to a different country.

Been out for a while, but your DA-31 is your passport while on active duty.
