Can I turn in old uniforms any where?

I have uniforms from basic that don't fit me and never did. They are still in good condition and want to see if I can turn them in so someone who does fit them can get them.

I would give them to a soldier in my unit they would fit.

I just donated a bunch of ACUs to the JROTC at the local high school. They wear them during their competitions and stuff.
There used to be a box at CIF to dump stuff like that, they got rid of them because CIF got tired of accounting for it.

If no one in your unit or the barracks can use them, CIF usually has an old uniform deposit box.

Just keep in mind, when you separate you'll need to turn in an exact amount of everything you where originally issued in basic. So it never hurts to keep them (even if they'll never fit) so you dont have to worry about paying for/ replacing those items at separation. But if you've got the ability then there are plenty of soldiers who need new uniforms and cant afford to buy them! Just ask around in your unit, maybe keep an eye out at the PX for a soldier who looks like the right size and ask em if they need it. Itd be like an early Christmas for em!

I think some of the suggestions are sound, try to see if someone in your unit could use them. If you ever deploy, hit me up and I'll buy at least one of those. I buy uniforms from guys who deploy and save the story so that its not lost to a surplus shop.
