SGT Private RallyPoint Member50240

I am a 35F intel analyst and a peer of mine is the same rank and MOS as I am. He has orders to Hawaii but my official date for PCS will not be until Feb.2015. Here is the kicker though, My wife and me are trying to establish joint domicile currently and our branches are working to find us a base. She already has orders to Hawaii and is scheduled to report there NLT 30 May 14. My peer has orders to Hawaii and is willing to give them to me. Chain of command permitting and branch permitting that is. Before I bring it up to them however I want to know my options and if it is possible. I dont want to give out headaches or piss anyone off by pushing this too hard. Under the regs of joint domicile I am in fact able to PCS (COC & Branch permitting) after being on station for 12 months which I currently have been. His PCS date isnt until August 2014. If there's any important details I left out please ask if you have a solid answer. Thanks for your time and input! - SPC GambleCan I trade places with a peer who is PCS'ing IOT establish joint domicile with my wife?2014-02-03T13:51:23-05:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member50240

I am a 35F intel analyst and a peer of mine is the same rank and MOS as I am. As long as your Chain of Command is willing to release you and endorse the move. The important thing here is to talk to your branch manager. They would be able to provide you with the most reliable data and requirements. I wish you the best of luck. Evans was saying, you should be fine with the same MOS and position.
We had some medics swap like that to come to Vilseck and establish joint domicile. I talked to him and he said he went through his branch office with the other soldier to work the orders trade.
I will ask him if there was any other tricks or hoops to jump through, but check that branch managers list and try to get in tough with them. They will square you away for sure!
Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 27 at 2014 5:45 AM2014-02-27T05:45:44-05:002014-02-27T05:45:44-05:002014-02-03T13:51:23-05:00
