I wanted something that might challenge me a little more, something that was more interesting to me, and more importantly something with promotion points that aren't quite as high. With those factors in mind I targeted 68A, Biomedical Equipment Specialist. After talking to BN retention, she said that it was not an option as I had a D in algebra in high school. I also had an A, but she said it had to be a C or better for the year and not an average. I have not taken math in college yet either. Is there any ways around this, waivers, etc? Thank you for any and all help. Can I reclass to 68A without the algebra requirement?2015-11-24T22:39:24-05:00SPC Private RallyPoint Member1131044<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I'm currently a 91D looking to reclass out. I am a 35T and we do pretty much have the same skills but we use them for the MI Corps. I can understand the need to be knowledgeable in math, because you will be using a ton when learning electronics theory. I suggest you take a college math class to make this easier on you. Still surprised it is a legit client.Response by CSM Carl Cunningham made Nov 24 at 2015 11:16 PM2015-11-24T23:16:12-05:002015-11-24T23:16:12-05:00MSG Private RallyPoint Member1131767<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>There is no waiver granted.Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 25 at 2015 9:48 AM2015-11-25T09:48:25-05:002015-11-25T09:48:25-05:00Sgt Aaron Kennedy, MS1132019<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Go to base education, take the CLEP: College Algebra (it's free and takes 2 hours, and will give you 3 LL credits). See if you pass it. A "pass" = C, or proof of proficiency at the college level. If you fail it, it doesn't matter.Response by Sgt Aaron Kennedy, MS made Nov 25 at 2015 11:38 AM2015-11-25T11:38:33-05:002015-11-25T11:38:33-05:002015-11-24T22:39:24-05:00
