Can I perform corrective training on my team leader for a legitimate reason if I have more TIS + outrank him?

Is your Team Leader a PFC? Or a SPC as well? Here is why I ask: Sit back and think about why someone that you outrank and have more TIS than them are sitting in the Team Leader spot and you aren't. Also, if there is a legitimate reason for needing Corrective Training, that is one of the other reasons a Squad Leader position exists. You are literally about to step outside of your lane. They are in charge of the Team, not you. Let the Squad Leader handle this issue.

Ask yourself instead why he's in charge and junior to you. Meanwhile he's senior, so it's up to you to obey and adjust that to suit you. Lead - follow - or get out of the way so to speak.

If he is your team leader, you don't outrank him. I was a SPC4P and a team leader. I had a guy in my team who had more TIS and TOG than I, but I wore combat leader tabs meaning I outranked every SPC4 without tabs in my infantry unit.

No. You may technically outrank him, but he was put in his position for a reason.
If you have a concern, go to your squad leader.

TIS/TIG is meaningless in a practical sense. It comes down to rank and position. It could even be the case of a rank inversion, such as a lower ranking soldier having authority over a higher ranking soldier. It is a rare thing, but when properly documented and approved up the chain of command, it is legit. I know this to be personally true because when I was a SPC I was placed as the section leader even though we had a SGT. She was relieved and was being processed for discharge because of several issues that undermined her credibility and effectiveness. Other than a rank inversion, rank and position if there are multiple personnel with the same rank, that matters.

Refer to AR 600-20, Army Command Policy to understand why you're team leader's position outranks your pay grade. Your team leader carries the full weight of the commander behind him in carrying out the Commanders intent and guidance.

No. He is your team leader and is responsible for the team. You are not. Even if you have TIS and outrank him (is he a PFC??), that person is still responsible for the team and leads it.

Address this reason with him. Hash it out and move forward. If not, let the squad leader make a decision.

Position not rank.... Why do you think this would be a good idea? What ever the reason that they are in charge of you they are in effect in charge of YOU not the other way around. I can only speculate these circumstances and dont wish to but here you are.
