When you arrive, you are in black phase, basically the equivalent of blue phase in BCT, we could not go off post, not wear civilian clothes etc.. if the same applies to your AIT school, it may be difficult to really see your wife. You may want to book an appointment with S1 to discuss your situation. They should be able to help.Response by SPC Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 7 at 2018 10:27 PM2018-08-07T22:27:46-04:002018-08-07T22:27:46-04:00CSM Darieus ZaGara3861953<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It is never wise to get ahead of orders. Anything can happen to change your status. If you have orders and your status changes the military will honor those orders if activated. If you move ahead of orders and your military situation changes thay will not reimburse you for speculating. Go to the S1 and ask when you will receive orders. Thank you for your service.Response by CSM Darieus ZaGara made Aug 8 at 2018 7:02 AM2018-08-08T07:02:19-04:002018-08-08T07:02:19-04:00SPC Jeff Hogan, M.S., M.P.S.3862131<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I can say when I was in AIT one of my fellow soldiers has his wife there; but, he was required to stay on base during the week and could only go home on weekends if memory serves. <br /><br />Don't quote me on the last part; but, I do know that his wife did come; but, like SPC Zina said below it wasn't immediately.Response by SPC Jeff Hogan, M.S., M.P.S. made Aug 8 at 2018 8:15 AM2018-08-08T08:15:10-04:002018-08-08T08:15:10-04:00SGM Bill Frazer3862251<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Why do you want to move them at least twice? If you jump the gun the cost is on you. You must understand that if you live off post you will receive a housing allowance and anything over and above what you get for that allowance is on you. If money is tight, and as a PFC I would bet it is, you need to be patient and if you are authorized to have your family with you, you would qualify for housing on base which would mean no rent, no utilities.Response by SP5 Lori Pong made Aug 14 at 2018 5:25 PM2018-08-14T17:25:20-04:002018-08-14T17:25:20-04:00PFC Private RallyPoint Member3883286<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I have been in AIT as a BMET for over a year, if you have any questions about stuff like that, you can message me!!Response by PFC Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 15 at 2018 7:49 PM2018-08-15T19:49:29-04:002018-08-15T19:49:29-04:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member3887807<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I was single during ait but for 68A ait in black phase you will not be able to go home. Your wife and family can have their home but you will not be able to go until you phase up even if they live on post. During black phase all the married soldiers still lived in the bs, had to meet bed check and curfew times, and March with the company to school.Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 17 at 2018 1:06 PM2018-08-17T13:06:55-04:002018-08-17T13:06:55-04:00SGT Jason Loar3897238<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I would suggest waiting.
