I meet the requirements besides the TIG and TIS left on this enlistment. I do plan on reupping in January to meet the requirement for the TIS left. My concern is really the TIG.Can I get waived my TIG to go drill?2018-09-17T19:16:38-04:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member3972421<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I have promoted to E-5 back in July and I'm interested into going drill. The level of maturity and experience isn’t what it needs to be to have that much responsibility. Focus on leadership positions for your pay grade. However someone with more experience my have a different opinion.Response by 1SG Frank Boynton made Sep 17 at 2018 7:39 PM2018-09-17T19:39:28-04:002018-09-17T19:39:28-04:00SFC Jeremy Smith3972779<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I went Drill after I had three years of Squad leader time. Easier to do in an Airborne assignment. I would suggest you wait for that.Response by SFC Jeremy Smith made Sep 17 at 2018 9:48 PM2018-09-17T21:48:00-04:002018-09-17T21:48:00-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member3972830<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Not really. The fact is you're three months away from being an E4. Those restrictions are in place for a reason. Drill and recruiting are willing to waive a lot of requirements when they are in need of people, but accepting brand new SGTs is way toward the bottom of the OML for waivers. You need leadership challenges before you take on a bunch of spoiled kids who all want to quit by Day 2Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 17 at 2018 10:12 PM2018-09-17T22:12:30-04:002018-09-17T22:12:30-04:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member3974670<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>So, my two years team leader time, which is on my ERB, and my age wouldn't matter. It's just what they'd see of when I got promoted. I have dealt with all sorts of soldiers, but I can see why my DOR is what matters.Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 18 at 2018 4:50 PM2018-09-18T16:50:59-04:002018-09-18T16:50:59-04:002018-09-17T19:16:38-04:00
