SrA Private RallyPoint Member1283689<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I am on TDY status for 60 days my job is completed and I have about 24 days off at the end and no work to be done. My question is is there any way I can request to end my TDY early and go back to my normal base and normal job I feel like I'm wasting a lot of the AF money just sitting in a hotel room waiting to leave. I drive myself to the TDY location so plane tickets aren't an issue. Can I end my TDY early?2016-02-05T23:17:35-05:00SrA Private RallyPoint Member1283689<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I am on TDY status for 60 days my job is completed and I have about 24 days off at the end and no work to be done. Went out to Ft Leavenworth to act as support. They ended up not needing me at all. One day 2, the Capt working with me said "I'm not old enough to act like a father, but hell I can pull a big brother. We're getting you out of this hell hole." <br /><br />All they did was issue a modification of orders.Response by Sgt Aaron Kennedy, MS made Feb 6 at 2016 7:22 AM2016-02-06T07:22:04-05:002016-02-06T07:22:04-05:001SG Private RallyPoint Member1284168<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>By all means, let your unit what is going on and ask them to issue an amendment to your orders. You get to sleep in your own bed, and the unit gets their Airman back. But you have to communicate. Don't assume that the Air Force will do it for you.Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 6 at 2016 9:27 AM2016-02-06T09:27:44-05:002016-02-06T09:27:44-05:00MAJ Javier Rivera1284172<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div><a class="dark-link bold-link" role="profile-hover" data-qtip-container="body" data-id="508057" data-source-page-controller="question_response_contents" href="/profiles/508057-2m0x1-missile-and-space-systems-electronics-maintenance">SrA Private RallyPoint Member</a> that should be an easy fix for your superiors. Based on the justification inform them that you would like to return home and see what their reply is. Based on their reply contact your home unit and ask them if they can work your return. In the meantime hit he gym hard and work on some self development courses as you are getting paid regardless.Response by CPT Mark Gonzalez made Feb 6 at 2016 10:03 AM2016-02-06T10:03:17-05:002016-02-06T10:03:17-05:00MAJ Ken Landgren1285049<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You need to ask whomever can impact the orders.Response by MAJ Ken Landgren made Feb 6 at 2016 6:46 PM2016-02-06T18:46:51-05:002016-02-06T18:46:51-05:002016-02-05T23:17:35-05:00
