I got a counseling today stating my retest will be in a couple of weeks it also says due to training it will be passed the 90 day window Can separation/chapter still occur? Can I be separated if I failed my APFT back in November, but my retest will be beyond the 90 day window? 2020-01-30T11:14:16-05:00 PFC Private RallyPoint Member 5499801 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I failed my APFT back in November. Why your leadership waited until January to counsel you on something that happened in November blows my mind though. Either way, give it your best. But here is the catch 22, it all depends on the chain of command if they want to chapter you or not. I wouldn&#39;t chapter you out so easy. You would be doing whichever exercise you are not up to par with on APFT every time you see me. Some chain of command enforce it, while others do so if it deems fit........... Just imagine if 5,000 Soldiers wanted out the military within next 3 to 4 months. All they would have to do is fail 2 record APFT to initiate chapter, but the army would say hell no, losing too many Soldiers, they will all go on special pops until they pass. You understand how the game goes with the military....... add to to the add to........ Are you worried you&#39;ll fail it? It is routine to have a retest concurrent with a scheduled periodic APFT on your unit training calendar due to the logistics Response by LTC Jason Mackay made Jan 30 at 2020 6:18 PM 2020-01-30T18:18:56-05:00 2020-01-30T18:18:56-05:00 SFC Private RallyPoint Member 5502128 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>If you are asking this question, that means that you did not take the first APFT failure seriously and thus did not prepare for your upcoming retest. Which is a major failure on your leaderships part. However, as soldiers, we are all accountable for what we do and what we fail to do. You seemed to have failed to prepare yourself for your retest. If I were your chain of command, I would treat your situation as serious as you treated your time to get ready for a retest. Get it together, pass your APFT and move on from this. That way your command can&#39;t give you two back to tests a few weeks apart with the intention to fail you. It could be a year apart if that&#39;s when they chose to retest you Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 31 at 2020 10:55 AM 2020-01-31T10:55:05-05:00 2020-01-31T10:55:05-05:00 2020-01-30T11:14:16-05:00
