SPC Private RallyPoint Member4289088<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Here's my situation. I originally decided that I was going to leave the military so I submitted my ETS packet to retention. ETS orders were cut for me on 29Nov2018. I was contacted by the retention NCO the week before my ETS date. We talked and I decided that I would stay in the army. I met with him on my ETS day (12/22/2018) and signed my reenlistment papers. I attempted to get a CAC card by bringing my DD Form 4 to and id card office but the id card office told me that I'm completely out of the military. I called the retention NCO and told him that the id card office said I am completely out of the military. He asks me if I had ETS orders and I told him yes. He told me that he forgot that I had put my ETS paperwork through. He stated that he would have to see about getting the ETS orders revoked. He called our unit administrator and told her about the situation. The retention NCO told me that the problem is now out of his hands and that if I needed any updates, called that unit administrator. I have called the Unit Administrator twice and asked for updates. She told me that she would email battalion and check to see that status of my reenlistment paperwork. I have not heard anything back since. I sent to email asking for an update and she will not respond to me. I have checked iPerms and AKO which list my ETS date as 12/22/2018. I feel like my paperwork is not being processed for some reason and no one wants to deal with it. It is now 3 weeks after I signed the reenlistment papers and I have no clue what the status is or if someone will be able to revoke the ETS orders.<br /><br />Also, part of my reenlistment was that I got a $20,000 bonus lump sum and I have no update on that either. Is there any way I can check to see if something is being done about my reenlistment paperwork? Can ETS orders be revoked if I reenlisted on my original ETS day?2019-01-15T14:29:47-05:00SPC Private RallyPoint Member4289088<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Here's my situation. You re-enlisted on your ETS date? Did you go outprocess? Turn in all your gear? <br />They’re telling you that you’re out of the Army now? Are you still going to work?Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 15 at 2019 2:58 PM2019-01-15T14:58:24-05:002019-01-15T14:58:24-05:00CSM Darieus ZaGara4289166<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Lots of untold data here. If you outprocessed it is very likely that you trip paperwork did not advance as your Admin would have seen it was after ETS that they received the paperwork. It also sounds like you may not have told your retention NCO all they needed to know. It would have taken a lot of calls from the right leadership to have pulled this offfon the best of days. Unfortunately eTS orders override a packet to re-enlist. In other words one is finite, the other a request. Until you raised your hand again your packet was just that, a packet. You should personally go and see the Admin folks and see where you stand, emails and calls aren’t going to get your answers. Good luck and thank you for your service.Response by CSM Darieus ZaGara made Jan 15 at 2019 3:06 PM2019-01-15T15:06:11-05:002019-01-15T15:06:11-05:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member4289330<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Assuming that you did successfully reenlist on your ETS it is very possible to rescind your ETS orders. However, that means that the Career COUNSELOR drew up your contract, you signed, the reenlisting officer signed, and the Career Counselor confirmed it in the database on that day. If they didn't confirm it that day you would have fallen off all the systems and need to wait to be placed back into all the databases prior to updating your ETS. That can take weeks. It's a huge pain, similar to when someone goes AWOL for years and falls off all the systems.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 15 at 2019 4:16 PM2019-01-15T16:16:19-05:002019-01-15T16:16:19-05:00SGT Donald Croswhite4289417<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>This is a cluster, and is what happens when you wait until the very, very end.<br />This is what I don't understand: Retention NCO's are a battalion asset. And the retention NCO (battalion) said it was out of his hands and to call the Unit Admin. Is that Brigade?<br />Did you clear CIF, and post?
