I think most people interpret the phrase "drain the swamp" with eliminating corruption. It seems pretty clear at this point that there will be no swamp draining, they might harvest all the timber and turn the swamp into a wetland... anything to benefit Multi-national corporations like Exxon and/or financial institutions like Goldman Sachs.

Not on his own. Reagan tried it and failed. Some think Trump has a better chance because, unlike Reagan, he has a GOP-controlled Congress in his corner. Well, he doesn't. Yes, the GOP controls Congress but they are little better than the Democrats who built the swamp.
