In the last couple of years my husband and I have had to take official guardianship of a 3 & 6 year old grandchildren. We are both retirees, I retired with the highest rank and carry my husband as a dependent. We are struggling with making ends meet. Any thoughts and assistance would be great. Can children you have guardianship of be added to Tricare Prime and Deers as dependents? If so, how?2019-05-08T22:47:00-04:00SFC Wilda Smith4616335<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I am a retired Army Veteran, who pays for Tricare Prime. If you have official legal guardianship paperwork take with BC, ssc, ect to your local Deers ID card facility with the proper paperwork you can enroll them into Deers since they are your dependents with legal custody. I would call first just to make sure you have all the paperwork. I'm not positive if its 30% or more for dependents through the VA but I would go to the local VA and find out.Response by SFC(P) Private RallyPoint Member made May 9 at 2019 9:02 AM2019-05-09T09:02:14-04:002019-05-09T09:02:14-04:002019-05-08T22:47:00-04:00
