Lewis) of our 8 year marriage in Germany. Coming from Germany we went on recruiting duty where she failed and got sent back to Korea. We were never able to get back together again. After 5 years of being physically assigned apart and on orders to separate locations again, we decided to go our own ways. No matter the effort to work with branch, we didn't see any light at the end of the tunnel SFC William Adamek Mon, 14 Mar 2016 11:14:25 -0400 2016-03-14T11:14:25-04:00 Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 15 at 2016 7:43 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/can-anyone-tell-me-about-the-army-couples-program?n=1380066&urlhash=1380066 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>To my understanding the Army married couples program tries to ensure that you and your spouse are stationed together in most cases they are able to make that happen. Your S1 should be able to give you proper documentation SSG Private RallyPoint Member Tue, 15 Mar 2016 07:43:58 -0400 2016-03-15T07:43:58-04:00 Response by SPC(P) Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 15 at 2016 9:46 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/can-anyone-tell-me-about-the-army-couples-program?n=1380306&urlhash=1380306 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The main goal of it is to station you both together or within 250 miles. Unless you get deployed. Also if you have kids it makes sure you both will not deploy at the same time. If your more than 250 miles apart they try to keep it under 6 months for the most part. Some cases it's different in higher up ranks. I know my brigade commanders husband is a division commander so they are over the 250 miles apart but they had to accept it before they got orders so it's meant to help you out as much as possible SPC(P) Private RallyPoint Member Tue, 15 Mar 2016 09:46:09 -0400 2016-03-15T09:46:09-04:00 Response by MAJ Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 15 at 2016 3:36 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/can-anyone-tell-me-about-the-army-couples-program?n=1381493&urlhash=1381493 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The Army MACP is designed to station you in close proximity to one another, however It does not guarantee that you will be stationed together. As an officer it can sometimes be difficult to be stationed together depending on the assignments available and the officer timeline. From personal experience I had to take two separate one year tours without my family due to a lack of assignments where my husband was stationed. It does nothing if you have children, that's what the family care plan is for. Meaning if you are both in the same unit and both get orders to deploy, you both go and your kids go to your care giver. To apply you both will need to submit 4187s through your command, once you are commissioned and married. Once approved it will go to HRC with a remark saying you are enrolled in the MACP. After that theoretically they should try so move you together. <br /><br /><br /><br /><a target="_blank" href="https://www.hrc.army.mil/EPMD/Married%20Army%20Couples%20Program">https://www.hrc.army.mil/EPMD/Married%20Army%20Couples%20Program</a> <div class="pta-link-card answers-template-image type-default"> <div class="pta-link-card-picture"> </div> <div class="pta-link-card-content"> <p class="pta-link-card-title"> <a target="blank" href="https://www.hrc.army.mil/EPMD/Married%20Army%20Couples%20Program">Married Army Couples Program</a> </p> <p class="pta-link-card-description">The USG routinely intercepts and monitors communications on this IS for purposes including, but not limited to, penetration testing, COMSEC monitoring, network operations and defense, personnel misconduct (PM), law enforcement (LE), and counterintelligence (CI) investigations.</p> </div> <div class="clearfix"></div> </div> MAJ Private RallyPoint Member Tue, 15 Mar 2016 15:36:33 -0400 2016-03-15T15:36:33-04:00 2016-03-14T01:17:41-04:00
