Current version is the G16 so it is significantly better.

http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/products/cameras/digital_cameras/powershot_g16

What I will say is that if you are considering buying it, I'd maybe wait until the G17 comes out to either get the newest version or to get a G16 cheaper. Or you could buy a G15 now. Historically cannon has kept the new version very close to the same price and the older one has dropped significantly.

I have all ikelite accessories, including a video and a still strobe that I use together.

edit: Have been trying to find a link that shows up better in the thread.

Canon U.S.A. : Consumer & Home Office : PowerShot G16

With performance and creative expression approaching that of an SLR camera, the new PowerShot G16 camera makes unlimited imaging not just portable, but now wireless, too! I think they may make a decent camera for water pics. Canon would be a good choice. I've gotten great results even from Canon's low end point-n-shoot type cameras and dive housings are usually easy to find. I am going to dive the Barrier Reef with it in a couple weeks - I will try to let you know how it works out. I don't know if it would be an improvement over your current system or not. It does take RAW photos which gives great post-processing capabilities. For the money, GoPro can't be beat. I have used my Hero 3+ snorkeling a bunch and it has worked flawlessly Response by SrA Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 17 at 2015 4:56 AM 2015-09-17T04:56:42-04:00 2015-09-17T04:56:42-04:00 Lt Col Michael Thomas 974564

I'd get a GoPRo.
