Any advise on how to build my profile and rank my preferences would be greatly appreciated. Can anyone provide a brief oversight of AIM 2.0 and how to navigate it? 2020-01-07T21:35:37-05:00 CW2 Private RallyPoint Member 5423869 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Looking for help with the AIM 2 portal. I’m in a fairly small AOC so my experience may not be typical. Definitely set aside some time and make sure the resume is completely filled out. The examples they have in the system have some good starting points. I had a pretty well written resume from by break in service that did a good job of summarizing my enlisted time (courtesy of Hire Heroes), which I think helped a lot. Also take advantage of the unit and current incumbent POC info. I know a lot of units don’t have their part filled out, however. I reached out to my unit and I was able to make contact with my predecessor, as well as my current rater. I think this helped a lot. They knew who I was and I wasn’t just another name on a list. When it comes to rank I simply rated them in my order of preference. Some people are convinced that you will always get your second or third ranked choice, so you should actually put your favorite choice in those slots. I honestly think that’s nonsense. All in all I put in more effort than many of my peers and it paid off. I ended up with arguably the best available assignment (Ft Carson).
