Can anyone properly explain the day to day of 94y?

I'm looking for anyone whose in the 94y most I'm joining and ship off to basic in like 15 or so days just trying to learn alittle more about the mos.

I’m almost a decade removed. However, while I was in, the missile maintenance side of the MOS was basically dead, with all of the new missile test sets going to other MOSes. The aviation side of the house was really taking off, though. Hopefully, after basic & AIT, you’ll go to an aviation site. When I got out, they were using the V5 IFTE system. My best advice for you would be to seek advancement. Embrace any & every opportunity for leadership tasks. And if you ever feel the slightest hint of resistance in your progression, either push to go warrant officer or reclass into another MOS. Either way, create an all encompassing plan for your career that also includes steps that will benefit you if you were to get sick of the army & decide to leave. Don’t allow yourself to be placed into a box where IFTE is all that you know. Try your best to never stay on any one installation for any longer than 3 years. This is especially true if you wind up going to Fort Hood or Fort Bragg. Those posts tend to drop you into a holding pattern where you end up staying there for years on top of years. Good luck with your career.

I was a lower enlisted Soldier and NCO in an MOS similar 27B1O and as an NCO also we did PT early in the morning. Then had a morning information our leaders told us what we had to do. We ran TPS and then early in the morning once a week we had PMCS motor stables. Also once a week we also had training such as NBC, Warfighting training, and Battletask training given by your Platoon Sergeant , Squad leader section Sergeant, and other leaders tasked by the training schedule.

Hey just give a heads up its pretty much testing lru's and command maintainance, the older v3/v5 systems are being withdrawn from service and the ngats is starting to be fielded. the ngats will allowed a greater spectrum of vehicles systems to be tested and repaired as the last major weapon system the v3/v5 test stations were used for was the oh-58d witch has been withdrawn from service. I was originally trained on the v3/v5 systems myself and was part of the lut2, 3, 4, 5 test for the ngats system. I know the old side of the mos and some of the new side as well. but all in all its quite a good job and transfers well into the civilian side
