Not many people are doing waivers. As far as POC&#39;s you can go to USAJobs and take a look for any positions available worldwide. Your friends best bet if he wants to continue working for the Government is to find Contractor jobs at the location he wants to go to. There is no such 180 day requirement for those. Its what i did when i Retired in October. My 180 days will be up on 01 Apr and i can be hired as a GS Civilian. Located in an agricultural area and a small population, you might also look for US Department of Agriculture, Bureau of Land Management or Department of Health and Human Services.
