They count towards either a technical certificate or an associates depending on what route you take.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 21 at 2017 9:04 AM2017-09-21T09:04:38-04:002017-09-21T09:04:38-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member2935457<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I think your best bet would be to wait until you get back to do any classes. Every automotive and high performance school I know of always has shop or hands on portions of class. As far as I know, they don't desperate the hands on learning with the book learning.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 21 at 2017 11:12 AM2017-09-21T11:12:43-04:002017-09-21T11:12:43-04:00CW3 Private RallyPoint Member2935724<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div><a target="_blank" href="https://www.trade-schools.net/directory/military-tuition-assistance.asp">https://www.trade-schools.net/directory/military-tuition-assistance.asp</a> <div class="pta-link-card answers-template-image type-default">

There is 40% classroom and 60% hands on training as well as 200-300 externship hours and homework. Plus you will get paid for your time in school that supplements your income. The best colleges are Wyotech, UTI, Walla Walla University you need ASE certification and more! Google it.Response by SGT Larry Michael Bleckler II made Sep 21 at 2017 11:21 PM2017-09-21T23:21:09-04:002017-09-21T23:21:09-04:00SSG(P) Matthew Bisbee2950552<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Feel free to purchase and start reading some ASE test study guides and auto service textbooks. I liked the one by James Halderman. Also, hang out at the Motor Pool on your off time to pick up some knowledge from the mechanics.Response by SSG(P) Matthew Bisbee made Sep 26 at 2017 11:48 PM2017-09-26T23:48:22-04:002017-09-26T23:48:22-04:00CPL Private RallyPoint Member3191971<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>ASE manuals. If you want to focus on a particular make and model, read that manual. Penn Foster career college is good.Response by CPL Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 22 at 2017 10:43 AM2017-12-22T10:43:25-05:002017-12-22T10:43:25-05:002017-09-21T08:52:40-04:00
